Invisalign at Brandyberry & Associates

This video explains what you can expect when you choose our Thomasville dental practice for orthodontic treatment. See what sets Invisalign apart from traditional orthodontics. Are you ready to create a beautiful smile? Visit Brandyberry & Associates today.

What Is Invisalign?

Invisalign is an alternative to traditional orthodontic treatment. While braces rely on brackets, wires, and bands, Invisalign uses clear plastic aligner trays. These virtually invisible aligner trays are difficult to notice, even when people are up close.

Each computer-designed aligner is worn for at least 22 hours a day. After two weeks, patients discard their current aligner and start wearing the next aligner in the treatment plan. With each new aligner, patients gradually improve the alignment and spacing of their teeth.

Invisalign aligners can be removed with ease, allowing patients to eat their favorite foods and practice good oral hygiene without any hassles. Tooth movement and aligner design are developed with a computer, which makes the treatment process comfortable and predictable.

Invisalign Before & After

Invisalign Case 2
Before Invisalign Treatment
Invisalign Case 2
After Invisalign Treatment
A 20-year-old male came to our Thomasville, NC, office extremely unhappy with his smile. He had crowding on the upper and lower dental arches. We consulted about treatment options and decided on a combination of Invisalign and tray whitening.

Invisalign vs. Braces

While traditional braces can align crooked teeth, metal brackets and wires are obvious in appearance and can be uncomfortable. Fortunately, Invisalign can straighten your smile discreetly and comfortably. Invisalign gently moves your teeth into proper alignment with specialized, clear plastic aligners. The advantages of clear aligners include:

No Food Restrictions

Unlike traditional orthodontics with fixed brackets and wires, Invisalign aligners are entirely removable. This means that you can enjoy all your favorite foods without worrying that they will interfere with your treatment.

Easy Daily Care

When you choose Invisalign, you can brush and floss your teeth as you normally would, just taking care to clean your aligners. Traditional braces, on the other hand, can make daily hygiene routines more difficult to perform and can lead to increased plaque buildup.

Efficient Treatment

Patients with braces need to regularly visit their dentists or orthodontists so the brackets and wires can be tightened, which can be uncomfortable. With clear aligners, you'll only have to visit our dental office in Thomasville, NC, about once every six weeks for a quick and easy checkup.

Enhanced Confidence

Because Invisalign aligners are nearly invisible, you can confidently smile and speak throughout your treatment. Your friends, family, and colleagues may not even notice you're going through orthodontic treatment.

Thousands of patients have chosen Invisalign as their preferred approach to orthodontics because it is so compatible with their lifestyles. As long as you can remember to consistently wear your aligners and maintain good oral hygiene practices on a daily basis, Invisalign might be the right orthodontic solution for you.

Invisalign Candidacy

If you have healthy teeth and gums and wish to correct mild to moderate misalignment, you are likely a good candidate for orthodontics with aligners. Invisalign can correct:

  • Crooked teeth
  • Gaps between teeth
  • Protruding upper teeth
  • Overlapping or crowded teeth
  • Overbites, underbites, crossbites, or open bites

During your consultation, our Thomasville dentists will perform a thorough examination to determine whether Invisalign is the right treatment for your unique dental goals.

How Does Invisalign Work? Treatment Step-by-Step

Most patients conclude their treatment in 12 to 18 months.
Most patients conclude their treatment in 12 to 18 months.

Dental Exam

Our dentists will first conduct an examination to determine that you are in good oral health. They will analyze your bite to determine if your degree of misalignment is treatable with Invisalign or if you would be better served with traditional braces.

Digital Impressions

If our dentists determine that you are a good candidate for Invisalign, we will use our iTero® digital scanner to create a digital model of your bite. We can use this model to demonstrate how the aligners will move your teeth.

Personalized Plan

Our dentists will use the digital scans of your bite to devise a completely unique treatment plan that will produce your dream smile as efficiently and effectively as possible. For patients with more severe misalignment, we may decide to place Invisalign attachments, which are tooth-colored buttons that attach to the teeth and give the aligners a better grip.

Aligner Fabrication

We will send the scans of your bite and our dentists' treatment plan to an Invisalign lab, where your aligners will be custom-made so that they fit perfectly over your teeth.

Wearing the Aligners

Once you receive the aligners, you should wear them for at least 22 hours a day. Only remove them to eat, brush, floss, or drink anything other than water.

Switching Aligners

You will receive multiple sets of clear aligners at once. About every two weeks, you should switch from one set of trays to the next in your sequence. The series of aligners will gradually shift your teeth into position.

Periodic Check-Ups

We usually ask our Invisalign patients to visit our Thomasville office about once every six weeks. This allows our doctors to keep an eye on your progress and provide you with any dentistry you need.

Brand New Smile

Most patients conclude their treatment in 12 to 18 months. Your final set of aligners will shift your teeth into the ideal position. We will provide you with a set of clear retainers to wear at night to prevent your teeth from moving again.

Invisalign FAQ

Most dentists and orthodontists charge between $5,500 and $7,500 for Invisalign treatment. However, at Brandyberry & Associates, new patients can complete Invisalign treatment for as little as $3,379.

Is Invisalign as effective as braces?

Invisalign has revolutionized dentistry in recent years because it can be just as effective as braces for cases of mild to moderate misalignment. Of course, unlike braces, clear aligners are discreet, removable, and comfortable.

Do I need an orthodontist for Invisalign?

No. Highly trained dentists, like the doctors at Brandyberry & Associates, are just as qualified to oversee Invisalign treatment as orthodontists. In fact, as Gold Providers, our dentists may be the best-qualified Invisalign professionals in Thomasville, NC.

"Words cannot express my gratitude for Dr Brandyberry & the staff. They are all so very kind, personable and accommodating. My daughter had been referred for braces by her pervious dentist. She did not want braces, she wanted Invisalign. After our consultation with Dr Brandyberry, we knew he was the right person to treat our daughter. The care that we have received is absolutely amazing!! I love it so much, I switched my whole family to his practice. Thank you Dr Brandyberry & staff for all you have done for us!!" Jennifer B.
